All Is Gift and Grace from Our Loving Father

Silver Jubilee of Clarian Consecration of Sr Mary Elizabeth of The Holy Family.

Firstly, I want to say two words: Thank You

Thank You God for the gift of this special and unique day of my Silver Jubilee Year.

Thank You for the Gift of Jesus whom we have received in the Eucharist

Thank You for Mother Mary and all the Saints

Thank You for our Father Archbishop who has graciously presided over this celebration, and for Father Bishop Kakubi who blessed my first step as a Poor Clare, as well as all the priests that have celebrated the Mass, for our chaplains and confessors both present and those that once were.

Thank You the Family of all consecrated Persons, for my Franciscan and Poor Clare Family, for Mother Abbess and my fellow dear sisters, faithful companions on the Journey,

Thank you for our benefactors who support us in our life.

Thank You Dear God for my Grandparents and for my parents Joseph and Tereza. May they Rest in Peace.

Thank You for my Beloved Sisters and Brothers, for my Nieces and Nephews, and Relatives.

Thank You for my teachers and school mates, and last, but not least:

Thank You for all my friends, particularly those that have graced my feast with their presence. And Loving Father, those who have gone back to You. May You Grant Them Eternal Life.

I would like to share with you my personal reflections and a prayer that wells up in my heart as I begin the second half of my Pilgrimage on earth, for tomorrow is my 50th Birthday!

Three images are in my mind; a Flame; a Cross of Jesus; a Rope with three knots.

The flame of Fire reminds me of the day I decided to dedicate my Life to God. It was a warmth and a deep feeling of Love. The Presence of God, Fire as it were, was burning deep in my heart. I realized that nothing on earth would fill my heart to this extent. However, I soon came to realize that there was another side of the fire and presence of God in my Life. Anything else in me that was not of Him had to be Burnt by the same Fire. All that stuff had to die the same death which Jesus underwent on the Cross.

The second image, the cross, reminds me of all that must continue to be renounced for His sake. And I continue to courageously take up the Cross and follow Him. The Fire of Love in me needs special attention and care. It can easily die out if it is not fed, or it can be blown out by strange and strong winds. It can also just become smoke which is not pleasant to the eyes.

The Rope with three knots, The Rope will help me to remain attached to the Cross of Christ and the three knots on it which signifies the three Vows which I have reaffirmed to live faithfully in this house of Prayer, and are the means to keep the Fire burning in my Life.

And so, my dear friends I Thank You for having supported me each one in your unique way, and I thank you again for joining me in prayer today, and I beg you to continue praying for me.

Pray that I may keep faithfully my Vows I made to God up to the end of my life. May I keep the Fire of Jesus, that Fire of the Spirit, burning in my Life at all times. And I promise to keep on praying for You. For that is the work God and the Church has given us to do. I do daily raise You up to God in Prayer asking Him to Bless You and ask Him to take care of all your desires, your needs and concerns.

I pray that all of us, wherever we may be, and in whichever situation we find ourselves, will feel the Joy, Peace and Love of Jesus burning always in our hearts.

May we share it with others as our Mother Mary did when she visited her cousin Elizabeth. And may it be for the Glory of God.
