I proclaim the goodness of God and His loving mercy. He has called us and set us apart to sing His praises; He has entrusted us with this wonderful mission of prayer in the Church.

Faithfulness to our life of prayer — the singing of the Divine Office, the celebration of the Sacrifice of the Eucharist, hours of adoration and meditation — brings us deep joy. We do this both for ourselves and on behalf of all God’s children. With gratitude we turn to the Lord, who listens to the cry of those who trust in Him.

Over the years we have witnessed many miracles the Lord has done for His people through our humble intercessory prayers. Couples who longed for a child but could not conceive came to ask for prayers. Later they returned to thank us and to give thanks to God for the gift of a baby. Many have found refuge here to pray for different needs, and the Lord granted them favours by answering their petitions. Others came with heavy hearts, burdened with troubles and problems; we prayed with them in patience and trust in the mercy of God. Those who arrived full of sadness and bitterness found joy and peace. Those who were in darkness found light to guide them through life — they found God: Christ, “the Way, the Truth, and the Light.”

God has always been healing His people — through the prophets of old, then through His own Son Jesus Christ our Lord, and now through the Church. He chooses special people to continue this mission of healing through prayer, like our Mother St. Clare and her daughters. We find our joy in fulfilling this mission, to the glory of God.
